How it works….


Please contact us with your initial enquiry and we’ll talk through the details with you and confirm our availability. 

Remember we’ll need the date, location and time of the event. 


We’ll provide you with a quotation via email for you to check and approve.

Once any amendment's are made & we receive confirmation from you, we will send over your formal invoice & ask for a deposit as set out below to be paid. 

**WE DO ASK FOR AT LEAST 14 DAYS NOTICE ON ALL ORDERS SO WE CAN ENSURE YOUR ITEMS ARE HANDPICKED AND LOVING WASHED BEFORE USE. 
**ORDERS UNDER 7 DAYS MAY BE PRICED ACCORDINGLY.


Delivery or Collection?


 WE ARE HAPPY FOR YOU TO COLLECT YOUR CHINA AND ACCESSORIES FROM OUR HOME ADDRESS THEREFORE AVOIDING ANY DELIVERY OR COLLECTION CHARGES.
 WE CHARGE *£0.50 PENCE PER MILE PER ROUND TRIP.

  LONDON DRIVING & PEAK TRAVEL TIME’S WILL BE PRICED ACCORDINGLY.  


Hire Times?


AS STANDARD, VINTAGE CHINA & PROP PACKAGE ORDER'S WILL BE ON HIRE TO YOU FOR UP-TO 3 DAYS.

*OUR VINTAGE GARDEN GAMES & RUSTIC CART HIRE TIMES MAY BE PRICED PER REQUIREMENTS AND HIRE TIMINGS. 

( This is due to the size of these and most venue's will normally require us to collect at the end of your event. )


 ANY EXTRA TIME REQUIRED MAY INCUR A SURCHARGE BUT THIS WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE TIME OF ORDER. 


Payment?


 A NON ~ REFUNDABLE  DEPOSIT OF 50% OF THE TOTAL VALUE WILL BE REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING INVOICE TO SECURE ANY ITEMS YOU REQUIRE. 
FULL AMOUNT TO BE PAID 14 DAYS BEFORE DATE OF HIRE. 

THIS CAN BE MADE BY MEANS OF BANK TRANSFER CHEQUE OR CASH IF ARRANGED IN ADVANCE. 

Unfortunately without a deposit your date/hire items can not be held


Washing up Service:-


Due to the items being delicate we prefer to wash them up ourselves.  

This is to ensure that they are sparkly clean and well wrapped for our next hirer to enjoy. 

  

HOWEVER All VINTAGE CHINA ITEMS, should be rinsed out & dried prior to return to avoid staining. Failure to rinse items can result in tea, coffee and other stains that will damage the china, in this event a full replacement charge would be invoiced.


OUR HIRE CHARGES INCLUDED WASHING UP AS WE WOULD RATHER YOU ENJOY YOUR EVENT AND LEAVE US TO HAND-WASH AND INSPECT ALL OF ITEMS FOR DAMAGE AT THIS TIME!

None of our items are dishwasher or microwave proof.   


  ACCIDENT DEPOSIT: - 


Accidents do happen but not as much as to be expected!

A REFUNDABLE DAMAGE BREAKAGES DEPOSIT CHEQUE IS ALSO REQUIRED, 

IN THE SUM OF £50 FOR ORDERS UNDER £200. 

£150 FOR ORDERS OVER £200 BUT UNDER £1000.00  

OVER £1000 *TBC PER REQUIREMENTS.

Can you visit to select your prop's & other item's ?

 

We welcome you to come view & select our stunning hire item's in person at a pre arranged time!  

We do have a mini Aladdin's Cave of Treasures that you are more than welcome to pop long and see...

Our ever growing inventory is growing on a weekly basis!

If there’s something in particular which you would like but can’t see it on our hire list or in the gallery, please give us a call or email to discuss your requirements. 

Our range of vintage china is extensive and unfortunately this is not currently possible to handpick all of your china for very large events.

If of course you have a specific colour theme in mind and dependent on the number of guests at your event  (eg. just blue/green for a boy's baby shower ) We will handpick to suit your requirements as long as items are available. 


Set up / Styling / Waitress Service 


We can set out your tea party or style your event if you haven’t time or don’t even know where to start... 

We’ll help with all the little bits and bobs which will make it totally unique to you. 

We can even provide waitress service to ensure your day runs smoothly.

Cancellation :-

In the event of cancellation the booking deposit will be lost (this is non-refundable) and if applicable the damage deposit will be returned.  

  We can hold the deposit towards another event booked within 2 months of the first event date that we have available. 

 All cancellations must be in writing.


Identity:-

We also request to see some photographic Identity and the person’s photo ID must be the named person named on the Invoice or accepting the Terms and Condition's. (If you were hiring a car or van the security and ID would be similar – we’re just protecting our investment. ) 


 

Responsibility:-

It is your responsibility to notify your venue that you have booked our item’s and relay all of our terms and conditions to them. We are happy to liaise with them if they have any questions.

You the Client is responsible to to ensure that all of our hire item's are stored and protected safely from time of receipt until it has been returned.

All vintage china will be sent in protective paper wrapping with a layer of bubble wrap where appropriate, please note vintage china is very fragile.

All other items are to be securely packed in boxes supplied.

 It is essential that the hired items are packed securely and suitable for transport. 

If the items are not packed properly and we need to “re-pack” we reserve the right to make an additional £20 charge for time incurred which will be deducted from your damage deposit. 

Any breakages due to poor packing on your behalf will be subject to the damage charges.

ALL GOODS WILL BE CAREFULLY PACKED TO ELIMINATE RISK OF BREAKAGES. PACKAGING MATERIALS MUST BE RETAINED AND ITEMS PACKED IN A SIMILAR MANNER IN THE CORRECT BOXES READY FOR COLLECTION.

 BOXES WILL BE CLEARLY MARKED FOR THIS PURPOSE.


ALL GOODS WILL ARRIVE WITH AN INVENTORY: - 


IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU CHECK YOUR ITEMS CAREFULLY UPON UNPACKING AND SIGN THE ACCOMPANYING INVENTORY ACCORDINGLY. 

PLEASE BRING TO OUR ATTENTION ANY PROBLEM WITH YOUR DELIVERY ITEMS AT THIS TIME.

  

Any items Damaged OR Missing in Delivery must be bought to our ATTENTION before your event starts. 



Herts Vintage Hire Delivery / Collection Term's 

Deliveries / Collection's are expected to be on an unobstructed ground floor level.

When Herts Vintage Hire provide Delivery/Collection Service :- This must be delivered to and collected from, an easily accessible location (no stair’s or lifts etc or less previously agreed. )

ANY restrictions, stairs or long distances longer than 15 meters should be advised  to us on booking. *This is due to the weight & size of some item's. 

Additional charges could be incurred for failure to inform us of the for mentioned or if extra time is taken for deliveries or delays.  

 We will give a one hour time slot for delivery at an agreed time. 

The order must also be ready for collection on the agreed date and time.

In exceptional circumstances due to travel distribution or other  unforeseeable incident's we may be unable to deliver/collect to our agreed time's & will notify you ASAP
